A Space to Heal. A Different Way to Begin.

This is where it begins...

With presence.

With breath.

With a connection that's felt in your body - not just in your thoughts.

No performance. No pressure.

Just the quiet permission to be as you are - and to be met there.

When words fall short, horses help us feel what needs to be felt.

At Listening Horse, our sessions offer a quiet space for emotional reconnection, nervous system regulation, and healing that doesn’t require explanation. Whether you're an adult seeking support, or a parent looking for something different for your child — we’re here, and the horses are ready.

Trauma-Informed Equine Sessions for Adults

  • You may have tried traditional therapy and found it difficult to connect with. Or maybe you’ve been holding something for a long time — and now it’s time to let it breathe.

  • These 1:1 sessions are for adults navigating trauma, grief, burnout, emotional overwhelm, or simply a sense that something within needs tending.

  • These sessions offer a grounded space to be with what’s present, alongside horses who reflect your inner world without judgment.

  • You don’t have to explain everything. You just need a place to begin.

For those ready to reconnect with themselves — at their own pace.

More than a method — a return to self.

  • This isn’t about fixing or figuring it all out.

  • It’s about coming home to yourself — at your pace, in your way.

  • A space where you can release what’s been held, reconnect to what matters, and gently re-regulate your inner world.

What to expect.

  • Time with Erika and the Herd, in a safe, grounded outdoor space

  • Reflective or active interaction with the horses

  • Integration space for anything that arises — or simply to rest and settle

  • A chance to anchor what’s been felt, noticed, or discovered — so it can begin to take root in everyday life.

Helping Young People Navigate Emotions, Build Resilience & Find Confidence - One Hoofbeat at a Time.

Not every young person thrives in talk-based or clinical environments. For some, emotions feel too big, too fast, or too confusing to express through words. These sessions offer a quieter path — one that invites safety, connection, and confidence through the presence of horses.

Working with the herd, young people begin to sense their own emotional rhythms, explore regulation, and experience non-verbal connection in a way that meets them where they are.

Ideal for young people who may be:

  • Anxious, emotionally overwhelmed or shut down

  • Highly sensitive or neurodivergent

  • Struggling with regulation, expression, or social interaction

  • Feeling unseen or unsupported in traditional settings

  • Processing trauma, grief, or major life changes

  • Non-verbal connection through observation, movement, and reflection

  • Somatic learning emotional awareness, regulation, and self-trust

  • Support that follows their lead and honours who they are

Our Approach:

  • Neurodivergent-Affirming & Trauma-Informed

  • We honour all ways of being — stimming, silence, pacing, sensitivity.

  • There’s no expectation to mask, no pressure to perform.

  • This is a space where nervous systems can settle.

  • Where emotions are allowed, not analysed.

  • Where healing begins in presence — not in perfection.

Ready to take the next step?

- Whether you're feeling quietly curious or ready to begin — you're welcome here. You don’t have to have the words. You don’t have to know how it will unfold. You just need a small sense that this feels right — and we can take it from there. -
